got to the bank that the check was written from check n go check n go. you should be able to show your id and they will cash it for you check n go.

Depending on the amount check, you may be able to cash it at the bank that it is drawn against. If the check is made payable to you and you alone, open up another account at either your same bank or another bank and deposit the check. If the check is made out to both of you, then most places will not cash the check unless you have both endorsed or make you deposit the check in your joint account. First things first, verify how the check is made payable. It's is payable to both of you, then you both need to endorse. If you decide to endorse it for both of you, you are truly opening up a can of worms if the ex gets wind of it.

go to the bank it was drawn off of check n go. For example you may bank at Bank of America, but the check is from National City bank--you would go to National City to cash the check--take your id though they will need that check n go check n go.

1. You can take it to the bank that the check was drawn on, but, most banks, now have a fee based on the amount of the check, some banks now will also take a thumb print and contact the person who issured the check to you.2. You can go to a currency exchange, they will also charge a fee.3. You can take it to your bank and just cash the check without depositing it, provinding you have the funds to cover the amount of the check.

  • you do not give specifics, but most large checks can be cashed inside the bank.
  • the teller may direct you to an office where the transaction can take place.
  • a better idea would be to take your check to a bank you don't normally use and open a new account with it (in your name only, and one he does not know about).

In my experience, if you have an account with a Bank and are in good standing, that bank will cash the check for you because you have an account there. They do have policies that require a waiting period for some checks. You would need to check with your bank for details. Your regular bank should cash it for you.

Deadra-Robertson, 2007-01-25 09:18:26

most banks do not cash "very, very large" checks without prior arrangements as the tellers do not have enough cash on hand.and depending where you live, many banks do not cash checks for anyone other than the account holder without prior arrangements.perhaps you should open up your own account and deposit it there, assuming the check is made out to you alone. if you are so worried about your separated husband having access to your funds, why do you still have a joint account?

you can try a check cashing place. call around some of them charge as low as 35 service fee or like 3 %. it is sometimes better to pay the fee then lost it to an ex. I know!!

Deadra-Robertson, 2007-01-25 09:18:26

if you have a balance in existing accts greater than the amount of the check, they will cash it for you, just won't be able to access acct funds to that amount until check clears. or just open up another account in your own name and put it in there (probably best to use another bank too if you want some secrecy). or go to one of those check cashing places but they take a decent % of the balance as a fee.

open a new account in your name only, or cash it at the bank on which it was written, and put the cash into a safety deposit box that your soon-to-be ex doesn't have access to.

Deadra-Robertson, 2007-01-25 09:18:26

Have a couple ID's on you. SS card, drivers license. As soon as she heard he wanted to leave. (At least for a while). ago and she even went into their account and took alot out of there. My daughter just did this. They seperated a couple mons. Just go to the bank and cash it.

Deadra-Robertson, 2007-01-25 09:18:26

sign it then have a friend second-sign it and deposit it (some banks no longer will accept checks like this, so check first)A currency exchange should be able to cash it if it is a company check (but will take some money out of it)another option - open up another account at a different bank in your name only. deposit it and then have no worries that your husband can get it.3 options to choose from!

Deadra-Robertson, 2007-01-25 09:18:26

you need ot go to either the bank of the person who wrote the check or a bank where you have an account. bring ID and your account number if at your bank.

Deadra-Robertson, 2007-01-25 09:18:26

go to the bank it is drawn on or open an account some where else that he doesn't know about, or have afriend deposit it in her account, then when it clears have her give you the money out of her account from your check.

Deadra-Robertson, 2007-01-25 09:18:26

go to the bank or branch that the check was drawn from

Deadra-Robertson, 2007-01-25 09:18:26

You either have to go to the bank it's drawn on or a check casher - where you might pay a fee, OR cash it at your bank, but you'll need to have the same amount of money in your account to back it up.
